In the course of our relentless examination of the world’s overwhelming supply of dumbasses and their antics, we came across one of the most accurate demonstrations of such dumbassness. Time to find out how the other half lives and by the other half I mean this Pakistani constable who detonated a grenade during proceedings in the Anti-Terrorism Court in the Karachi region. A grenade was entered as evidence in a case, and the judge made the mistake of asking the constable if he knew how it worked.
Now, people who adhere to the normal logistics of life and death would recognize that an explanation in weapons and grenade handling would have sufficed. Under no circumstances would you be required to pull the pin on a bloody grenade to demonstrate how it works. But the constable was more into the practical demonstrations variety and obliged the judge, by pulling the pin. It unfolded exactly how you would expect. The resulting explosion injured a court clerk, another police officer, and constable itchy fingers himself, hopefully with a newfound respect for grenades.
The constable is set to face severe disciplinary action as soon as he recovers. According to reports, the grenade was bought into court as evidence by a police officer by the name of Abid Ali, who deserves this special mention because he brought a bloody live grenade into court. The judge really shouldn’t have been so curious either. It’s a grenade, not a door-stopper, so he really got off easy seeing as the explosion only threw him off his chair.
