Shaq does a Teyana: No doubt Teyana Taylor’s performance in Kanye West’s ‘Fade’ video has inspired one or two folks to hit the gym. But apparently it has also motivated some to spruce up their dance moves. Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal was so motivated he posted a video of all 7-foot-1, 344lbs of himself mimicking Teyana’s body jerks and twirls. Depending on which side of the bed you woke up today, the following footage may make you giggle or gag. You have been warned.
Nelly money problems: St. Louis rap don Nelly is in danger of getting his properties seized by the IRS. The ‘Country Grammar’ star, ranked among the top 40 richest rappers with a $60m net worth, owes the taxman $2.4 million, and if he fails to settle soon, it could be bye bye luxury cars and boats. Nelly failed to deal with a smaller $150,000 tax debt owed to the Missouri Department of Revenue earlier in the year so it seems Uncle Sam decided to up the stakes.
Nick Gordon guilty: When Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston’s only child Bobbi Kristina died back in July last year, Bobby Brown made no bones about his suspicions of his daughter’s alleged husband Nick Gordon. Now it appears those suspicions were justified. A judge in Fulton County, Georgia ruled on Friday that Gordon was legally responsible for Bobbi’s death. The verdict was arrived at not by what he did, but what he didn’t do. And what Nick failed to do was show up in court for the wrongful death lawsuit filed against him, twice.
Kid Cudi vs. Kanye West: Just when we thought all was peace and love in the garden of hip hop, up spring some nasty thorns to burst our bubble. The latest beef is between Kid Cudi and the man who to some extent mentored him musically, Kanye West. At one point the Cleveland native was signed to Ye’s G.O.O.D Music label, and wasn’t that him looking over Yeezy’s shoulder during ‘The Life Of Pablo’ live premier? Well the love seems to have gone sour between the two as Kid Cudi littered our timelines with a series of vindictive tweets. They were aimed at perceived haters and detractors, including Kanye and Drake. “My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These n*ggas don’t give a f*ck about me. And they ain’t f*ckin with me,” went one of them. Not being one to turn the other cheek, Yeezus responded in typically unreserved fashion in the middle of his Saint Pablo Tour stop in Florida. “Kid Cudi, don’t ever mention ‘Ye name. I birthed you. Don’t try to say who I can do songs with. You mad ’cause I’m doing songs with Drake? Ain’t nobody telling ‘Ye who to do songs with! Respect the God!”
