Today we will spend our day dabbling in good old country music mixed with a nice sense of blues-rock. If you are a true fan of country I believe you’re acquainted with the work of Steve Earl and his Dukes.
Stephen Fain, A.K.A Steve Earl, is a 60 year-old American country and folk singer/songwriter with plenty of experience in this genre of music. He recorded his first album in 1982, and today with a band known as The Dukes, Earl brings us album number 17. Titled ‘ Terraplane’, it boasts 11 new songs from Steve and will be published on New West Records.

One of the great names you will meet in this album is producer R.S. Field who has worked with a number of country legends including ‘Buddy Guy’ John Mayall. So this is definitely an album that you will want to listen to. I’ve heard two songs from this album so far and my opinion is that this sound is not strictly country or folk, you can hear a bit of blues and rock as well. As a fan of blues I can tell you that I really enjoy Earl’s new sound.
So for today I recommend to you Steve Earle & the Dukes’ album, and in particular the new hit Baby Baby Baby (Baby).
