The Schoolboy Q album we were warned by Top Dawg Entertainment to look out for before summer finally has a release date. While it’s not before the sunny season, it’s only just about a month away; July 8. The only foretaste Q fans have been treated to of the as yet untitled LP so far is the Kanye West-featuring single ‘THat Part’. It’s a lazy banger built on a distorted guitar riff and brick-hard trap drums. On this foundation the TDE rapper explains his life philosophy: “Me no conversate with the fake…that part.” It’s also a public announcement to fans and haters alike that he’s back to pick up where he left off with ‘Oxymoron‘. After all it’s been two years since that major label debut dropped.
7/8/16 final date……

If the commercial response to THat Part is anything to go by, that’s been two years too long. Anthony Tiffith, Top Dawg boss, has been on Twitter wondering aloud why people were crying for new TDE music and yet wouldn’t support Schoolboy Q’s new joint. Hopefully the newly released video will help bring the mass appeal the label is looking for ahead of the album drop. In the clip we find Q in a bare room smoking a joint in the company of three masked fellas. He is also in the back of a school bus in the company of scantily-clad females. The bus pulls up at an apartment at the end of the first verse and hook and Kanye appears at the door to welcome the camera into room after room of the building. Watch below to find out what more is in the house besides a stripper on a pole.
