It’s no secret we love rising French rapper Malone. He has captured us with his boundless positivity and his old-school method of delivery. Back in 2015, the Parisian dropped a collection of lessons and notes of encouragement in the form of ‘Invictus‘. The 13 songs covered themes ranging from patriotic pride, to love, to his favorite, hope. The last of those songs was ‘Best of Us’, on which Malone got help from fellow MC Ismael Sankara and vocalist Ferricia Fatia. Their message on the track was simple; give your best in whatever it is you do. We all face trials and adversity, but you have to stay positive and give it your best shot. And they deliver this much-needed message with a laid-back, soulful vibe that will have you bopping along joyfully.
Malone has now released a black-and-white video for the song, directed by Threzor Eihls, the same brains behind the summery ‘Dream Big‘ visuals. The camera trails Malone as he strolls through the streets of his hometown spitting his edifying rhymes with that typically sunny smile brightening up what could have been a gloomy scene. He is soon joined by equally radiant dancers who engage in individual and choreograped dance moves.
We hope this new clip is a sign of new music to come.
