Joss Stone is one of the most famous names in the jazz music scene. But she is by no means limited to vocal jazz; Joss has proven her versatility by effortlessly switching to soul, R&B and even reggae. She has held her own while singing beside such living legends as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Gladys Knight.
The 28 year-old music star has been doing music since 2001 which means she’s spent half of her life gigging and recording songs. Her amazing work has rightly earned her the ‘top young female jazz singer’ tag.
Today I’m excited to discover that soon we will have the chance to see Joss for the first time here in my country Serbia. She will be among the performers during the Nisville Jazz Festival, one of the best festivals in southeast Europe for jazz and blues.
This international festival was started in 1995 and over the past decade such great acts as Billy Cobham, Donald Byrd, Incognito, The Brand New Heavies and Larry Coryell have graced the Nisville stage. Soon we’ll be able to confidently say that this music festival has become the center of jazz and blues in all of Europe.
So today was a great opportunity for us here at Wedoitfortheloveomusic to present you with a chance to catch Joss Stone live in concert. It was also an opportunity to present you with an exciting new destination if you’re into music festivals. Nisville will take place on August 2016.
