Yeezy Season 3 – It comes as little surprise that Kanye West dominated the news on the week of his long awaited album launch. The former G.O.O.D Music boss settled on a name for his new album literally minutes before its globally broadcasted launch. It’s not ‘Waves’, not ‘Swish’ but ‘The Life of Pablo’. A few hours after tweeting the new name and album tracklist, Yeezy hit a sold out Madison Square Garden to lead a chaotic event few could make head or tail of. Lost amid the fracas were his earlier comments about Bill Cosby’s innocence.
Ghost bites back – Ghostface responded to Martin Shkreli’s taunts in a video of his own; a 12-minute rant that featured the Wu-Tang Clan stalwart’s mom and sister. Personally I didn’t think it was worth the effort to remind the world how much of a scumbag the “pharma-douche” is but then Ghost is not one to let ish slide.
15 million problems – Ciara hit Future with a $15 million suit for defamation. The legal action was prompted by a series of unsavory tweets by the ATL rapper, one of which referred to his ex as a “b*tch” with “control problems”. Now Ciara wants 15m for her “emotional distress, anger, pain and suffering” and also to stop Future from blabbing again on social media. Future, where ya at?
DMX barks back – Monday night was a dark day in the life of Dark Man X. The 45 year-old was found unconscious in a hotel parking lot in Yonkers. Police have been vilified a lot in recent times but if it wasn’t for their swift action, DMX might not be alive today. They’re the ones who resuscitated him and got him in an ambulance. Photos of X hitting the club on Thursday proved he is back to full health.
