Guy Grogan is a one-man music machine from Santa Fe, New Mexico. With 9 albums under his belt, all self produced, the award-winning songwriter brings us ‘Dynamite Bouquet,’ a one-way trip to musical ecstasy wrapped in a “dynamite bouquet” that will do more than just explode your finger as you play air guitar. The first track off the ten-track album is entitled ‘My Own Way Out,’ which has a distinct Classic Rock feel and features a face-melting guitar solo. ‘My Own Way Out’ is followed by ‘Metafixation,’ which has more or less the same feel as the preceding track but with a hint of some Kurt Cobain in there.
‘River Like A Cry’ is the “Pop-iest” track on the album along with ‘Waterfalls.’ ‘Nowhere Is Paradise’ is top-single-worthy. ‘A Ghost Too Soon,’ Moonbird,’ and ‘Pseudo Euphoria’ are the more delicate tracks on the album, offering those tender moments. The album closes off with the even quieter and tender ‘What If I Told You’ with only an acoustic and vocals. Grogan plays all instruments on the album and producer Jono Manson handled the mastering and mixing. ‘Dynamite Bouquet’ is a great offering that lets Grogan’s talent as a songwriter and musician shine, and WDFLM is loving it!
