You may have already heard of NYC producer/DJ Dan Griffith, A.K.A Gryffin, thanks to his critically acclaimed and severally-streamed remixes of Tove Lo’s ‘Talking Body‘ and Maroon 5’s ‘Animals‘. In January he finally gave fans some original content in the shape of his very first single ‘Heading Home’. The song is an uplifting piano-driven tune that encourages listeners to find themselves and be themselves no matter what others think. You can feel the positivity pulsing through the drums and keys as Australian singer-songwriter Josef Salvat chants “I feel I’m finally headed home.” The more than 800,000 views the single garnered on YouTube are proof of Gryffin’s burgeoning fan base.
Now these fans have an official video for Heading Home to sink their teeth into. It features a male and female ballet dancers waking up from bed and busting out a few moves silhouetted against the rising sun. The visuals were choreographed by actor Joe Komara and shot in downtown Los Angeles. None is more satisfied by the outcome than Gryffin: “This artistic visual representation of Heading Home really captures the essence of what my music portrays, which is beauty, love, and uplifting feelings”.
