Flash Republic is a South African dance group formed in 2004 by Craig Massiv, Ryan Dent, and Belgium-born songstress Tamara Dey, later joined by guitarist Martin Rocka and drummer Isaac Klawansky. “Twister” is the smash hit taken from their 2008 album, “Danger.” The hit single earned the nod from some of the dance world’s biggest names, including StoneBridge, Seamus Haji, Bellatrax, and Thomas Gold. The song emulates the restless attitude of the young and daring and has this nostalgic 80s vibe.

For over a decade, the group honed a distinctive dance-driven sound that very easily places them on par with similar top dance groups from around the globe. Delivering chart-topping hits, Flash Republic has never stuck within any prescribed genre boundaries, always pushing sonic boundaries in a quest to find a sometimes daring, always exciting, and forever accessible sound. The band’s music is intensely creative, enduring, and dare I say “pretty darn special!”
