The microbus was a very popular form of transportation in South African townships in the 90s and was usually associated with partying. With more than a million views on YouTube, the video for “Caracara” was the first viral success of its kind in South Africa.

The song explores a new sub-genre of hip hop known as Skhanda rap, which fuses elements of rap and Kwaito music. The song is the second solo single from KO and went up to number six on the local charts. It earned KO no less than five nominations at the Channel O Music Video Awards in 2014.
