Their star started really shining back in 2012 when they were hailed as one of the most notable new acts or the year. Now French duo Brigitte are three studio albums into a blossoming career, the first of which went platinum. Known for their sensual delivery of retro pop, Sylvie Hoarau and Aurelie Saada have carved a niche for themselves in France and across the globe.
Brigitte’s latest album ‘A bouche que veux-tu?’ was released summer 2014 and the recently-released video for one of its singles ‘J’sais Pas‘ (I don’t know) is tailor-made for that time of year. Shot in Miami and produced by Saada, it features a lot of one hot babe. We never get to see her face but we see a lot of her derriere in the course of the three-minute clip. The seventies feel of the tune, whose lyrics consist of only two phrases: “J’ai chaud” (I’m hot) and “J’ai peur” (I’m afraid) might lead you to think that other famous French funk group, Daft Punk, had a hand in it. But they didn’t, and the song is not poorer for that. In fact, this is one of the most addictive recordings I’ve heard of late, though that could also be blamed on the video.
